Women's Health Connecticut is seeking a full-time, Surgical Scheduler at Greater Hartford Women's Health Associates.

Practice Manager Position Overview:
The Surgical Scheduler performs a variety of administrative tasks, including scheduling surgical procedures, coordinating with other facilities and communicating with patients and staff. The Surgery Scheduler is responsible for scheduling surgical procedures and assures that all the appropriate clinical and insurance coding information is collected and completed.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedules surgeries and coordinates all necessary arrangements. Assist patients with necessary paperwork and verify insurance information to obtain pre-authorization for all procedures Communicate with patients, physicians, surgeons and other healthcare professional to ensure accurate scheduling and preparation. Answer common questions regarding surgical appointments and pre and post-operative instructions, and maintain an accurate surgical schedule Enter and maintain patient data in the Electronic Medical Record system. Assist front office staff as necessary and perform general office duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures needed to support practice needs. 1-2 years of experience in an in-patient and out-patient surgical scheduling. Excellent customer service skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills Previous experience working in a women's health care facility, is preferred. Previous EMR/EHR and scheduling software experience is required. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply to learn more about all the position has to offer!
