Centralized Scheduler Premier Community HealthCare Group, Inc. Location- Dade City, FL Position Summary The Centralized Scheduler plays a critical role in supporting patient access and care coordination by managing scheduling and call operations. As the first point of contact for patients, this position is responsible for delivering a professional, compassionate, and efficient experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while navigating patient needs. The Centralized Scheduler contributes directly to enhancing patient satisfaction and supporting Premier Community HealthCare's commitment to high-quality, community-focused care. Key Responsibilities Answer incoming calls promptly, courteously, and professionally while assessing patient needs Schedule patient appointments across multiple service lines using the Practice Management System Register new patients and update existing patient records accurately Verify and document patient demographics and appointment details Provide patients with information regarding required documentation, forms, and fees Confirm or reschedule appointments and provide reminders as needed Route calls appropriately, including clinical and billing inquiries Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain strict patient confidentiality Assist with general inquiries regarding services and locations Communicate effectively with care teams to support smooth patient flow Participate in quality improvement initiatives and department goals Support community engagement efforts and organizational initiatives Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficiency with computers and healthcare systems (EHR/EPIC preferred) Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and scheduling Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service Ability to maintain professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare privacy regulations Adaptability to changing priorities and operational needs Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-based environment Basic understanding of medical terminology and math skills Cultural competency and ability to serve diverse populations [Centralize...LSC_1.2024 | PDF] Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Ability to obtain and maintain EPIC certification during employment [Centralize...LSC_1.2024 | PDF] Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use Ability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally Exposure to a clinical environment, including potential infectious diseases Frequent viewing of computer screens [Centralize...LSC_1.2024 | PDF] Additional Information This job description outlines the primary duties and responsibilities but is not exhaustive.
