Responsibilities:
- Review documents to determine material requirements and priorities. ...
- Arrange delivery and distribution of supplies/parts to expedite material flow and meet production schedules. Must anticipate next steps.
- Maintain material and supply inventories. Convert raw materials to WIP in AS400 computer system.
- Establish location numbers in AS400 for all inventory.
- Track, troubleshoot, and adjust inventory in AS400 with assistance from Production Scheduler and department supervisor.
- Perform cycle counts of raw materials.
- Sort and place materials/items on racks, shelves, or in bins by predetermined sequence.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate closely with receiving, quality control, work order expeditor, and leadership to resolve issues and achieve maximum efficiencies.
- Communicate material issues to purchasing.
- Coordinate with receiving to ensure materials are stored properly for effortless location and no production delay.
- Work quickly with the production department leads to moving projects along.
- Confer with department supervisors and personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
- Comprehend written/verbal instructions and translate them into actionable tasks supporting production.
- Refer to appropriate procedural instructions before commencing work.
- Promote quality by maintaining discipline and compliance with job specifications/procedures.
- Perform assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures.
- Handle hazardous waste within the department per state/federal regulations.
- Perform all other tasks as assigned by the department supervisor.
- Participate in annual safety and hazardous waste handling training per regulations.
- Must obtain forklift certification within the first ninety (90) days of hire and renew every two years.

- Must demonstrate ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Education:
High School Experience:
1-4 yearsQualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Minimum one year of expeditor experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Experience in a team-based environment.
- Must demonstrate computer literacy and organization skills.
- Forklift Certification preferred. Must obtain certification within the first ninety (90) days of hire.
- Must be able to read and interpret documents (safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, procedure manuals).
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Able to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- The duties must be performed at the facility location.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Able to work in extreme cold or hot weather conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
- Able to work in high noise areas wearing earplugs (required upon assignment).
