Surgery Scheduler for
Children's Ear, Nose, Throat, and Allergy Associates Pediatric Otolaryngology Office Position Title:
Surgery Scheduler Locations:
Primary location will be located in Maitland. Secondary location as needed will be in Winter Garden.
Hours of Operation:
Monday through Thursday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM with a 30 minute lunch break. Fridays 7:30 AM to 12

Office Manager/Practice Administrator Position Overview:
The Surgery Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of the pediatric otolaryngology office by coordinating surgical procedures for young patients. This position involves scheduling surgeries, communicating with families, and collaborating with medical staff to facilitate a seamless experience for patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Surgical Scheduling:
Schedule surgical procedures in coordination with surgeons, staff, and families. Maintain an organized calendar of surgeries and ensure proper allocation of surgical resources.
Patient Communication:
Contact patients and families to discuss surgery details, pre-operative instructions, and post-operative care. Address any questions or concerns families may have regarding the surgical process. Collaboration with
Medical Staff:
Work closely with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to confirm surgical dates and times. Assist in preparing surgical packets, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
Insurance Verification:
Verify insurance coverage and pre-authorization requirements for surgical procedures. Facilitate communication between families and insurance providers as needed. Must be comfortable discussing and collecting fees.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including surgical dates, notes, and relevant communications. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for scheduling and documentation.
Administrative Support:
Assist with other administrative tasks as required, including patient intake and follow-up. Support the office in maintaining a positive, welcoming environment for families.
Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
