Job Description

1 POSITION SUMMARY Production Planner is responsible for leading the development, coordination and execution of production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. This role balances customer demand, inventory levels, material availability, and production capacity to meet delivery commitments while minimizing costs and downtime. 2 RESPONSIBILTIES
  • Executes daily, weekly and monthly master production schedule by planning and coordinating with various departments based on customer demand, setting daily and weekly production schedules
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address delays, shortages or changing priorities
  • Supports productivity initiatives by monitoring processes to deliver against key performance goals including Production, Inventory, Scrap, and Schedule Attainment
  • Works closely with Procurement and Customer Service departments to deliver customer service, productivity, and cost results and balance priorities
  • Plans and schedules workflow for specific operations according to manufacturing sequences and lead times
  • Prepares daily routine inventory and production reports with required metrics to monitor and improve productivity and delivery
  • Evaluating raw materials and resources to ensure everything is in place for production
  • Scheduling shifts and workers to provide proper coverage.
3 SKILLS
AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related discipline with a minimum five (5) years of direct experience in production control or production planning required, with experience in a job shop environment strongly preferred
  • Hands on use experience scheduling production using an ERP system required, Epicor preferred
  • Experience using pull systems, PFEP (plan for every part), and lean manufacturing preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment 4 WORKING
CONDITIONS
  • Primarily on-site office based with regular interaction with manufacturing floor
  • May require working occasionally after business hours or on weekends to support 24X7 manufacturing
Pay:
From $65,000.00 per year
