• Full-time Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Scheduler to join our dynamic healthcare team.

In this vital role, you will coordinate patient appointments, manage scheduling workflows, and ensure seamless communication between patients, providers, and administrative staff. Duties Schedule patient appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems (Practice Fusion). Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification to facilitate smooth billing processes Manage appointment changes, cancellations, and rescheduling requests promptly and professionally Review medical documentation for completeness and accuracy, including care plans and clinical notes Coordinate with medical staff to ensure availability of providers and resources for scheduled procedures or consultations Maintain detailed records of scheduling activities, patient interactions, and documentation review processes Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, providing courteous service to patients and providers Experience Prior experience in medical scheduling within a clinical or hospital environment preferred Proficiency with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding standards, and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and data security Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software.
