Job Description
Job Title:
Medical Scheduler and Receptionist Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Medical Scheduler to join our team at Hope Imaging Center. As a Medical Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in coordinating patient appointments, ensuring efficient scheduling, maintaining accurate medical records and performing reception duties. Your attention to detail and excellent organizational skills will contribute to the smooth operation of our medical facility. The position is for Mon-Fri however, weekend work is also an opportunity if you're looking to set up a more flexible schedule we can accommodate that. We're looking for someone with good experience who can multi-task and function in a high pace environment while collaborating with a team. Multilingual applicants are preferred but not required. We also need someone who is responsible and able to arrive to work on time as we do not take kindly to tardiness.Duties:
- Schedule patient appointments and procedures in accordance with physician availability and clinic protocols.
- Coordinate with medical staff, patients, attorneys and insurance providers to confirm appointments and verify necessary information.
- Maintain electronic scheduling systems and update patient records accurately.
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding appointments, procedures, and general information.
- Collaborate with medical receptionists and healthcare professionals to optimize scheduling efficiency.
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
- Assist in managing front desk duties when needed.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of healthcare processes.
- Familiarity with imaging and anatomy terminology is a plus.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices.
- Experience working in a medical office setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with patients and colleagues.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual
- Fluent in Vietnamese and English.
