Job Description

The Operations Coordinator works alongside the Executive Pastor (hereafter, XP), providing administrative, personnel and operational support to the church. This team member participates in budget administration, staff management, and facility management in order to help the church operate in an efficient and Christ-honoring manner.
Major Responsibilities:
Church Budget and Finances Serve as the point of contact and Liaison for the church's relationship with Parable Resource Group (third party church accounting and financial management group). Provide support as requested to the Stewardship Committee, including as a point of contact for money counting activities. Support the Executive Pastor's work to optimize the church's financial resources. Aid in annual church budget preparation. Aid in the management of financial policies and practices developed by the Stewardship Committee, in coordination with the Executive Pastor. Human Resources Assistance Ensure employee onboarding processes (relevant forms, tax documents, background checks, etc.) are carried out. Maintain the current Employee Handbook. Aid the XP in the development of compensation and benefit packages. Aid in compliance efforts related to all federal and state, personnel and payroll laws and guidelines. Maintain personnel records of all employees related to sick leave, vacation schedules, time sheets and disciplinary action. Ensure HR needs are met in coordination with the XP. Church Property and Facilities Monitor and approve/deny facility requests and coordinate space usages/HVAC schedule/and door access schedules. Aid in compliance with federal, state and local ordinances related to church facilities. Arrange annual inspection of fire sprinkler, alarm and monitoring systems. Maintain relevant church documents, such as the FFBC security manual.
Other:
This is a general statement of job responsibilities; however, he or she is expected to perform other duties as required to support the mission and ministries of Fayetteville First Baptist Church including job duty changes due to pandemics or any other unexpected change in operations. He or she will also carry out other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Senior Pastor and/or this employee's supervisor.
Supervision:
This position does not directly supervise any staff members.
Education and Experience:
Must have interpersonal and communication skills and be able to effectively carry out task-oriented work. A minimum of 3 years of experience as in administration or related field is preferred. Church administration experience preferred but not required.
