This role is vital for supporting sustainable farming practices, animal welfare, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, strong mechanical skills, and a passion for agriculture to contribute to a thriving farm environment. Duties Supervise daily farm activities, including animal care, crop management, and equipment operation Operate and maintain heavy machinery such as tractors, forklifts, and irrigation systems with safety and precision Perform routine repairs and maintenance on farm equipment, utilizing welding, hand tools, power tools, and basic math skills for troubleshooting Manage animal husbandry tasks including feeding, health monitoring, and handling of livestock such as horses or other farm animals Oversee the use of farm machinery and greenhouses; ensure proper functioning and adherence to safety protocols Assist with planting, growing, harvesting crops, and maintaining horticultural or greenhouse environments Conduct regular inspections of fencing, irrigation systems, and infrastructure to ensure optimal farm conditions Support heavy lifting tasks and equipment repairs that require mechanical knowledge or welding expertise Requirements Proven supervising experience in a farm or agricultural setting Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery, tools, and equipment repair Hands-on experience with animal husbandry and animal handling techniques Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, tractors, and other power tools safely Familiarity with irrigation systems, greenhouse operations, horticulture practices, and general farming techniques Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and outdoor work in varying weather conditions Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to planting or maintenance tasks Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple responsibilities efficiently Prior experience with equine care or similar livestock is a plus Join us as a Farm Operations Specialist to make a meaningful impact on sustainable agriculture while honing your skills across a variety of essential farm functions.
