Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION
Under the direction of and reporting to the VP Production Planning & Facilities, the Production Planner is responsible for the creation of work orders and administrative duties.
Job Description:
Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle. Provides timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates.
Duties and Responsibilities:
o Using the Master Production Schedule, develop and review production plan with Managers for approval and execution. o Analyze open and anticipated orders to prioritize, plan, and schedule the production operations according to customer orders. o Review production plans to identify and report potential risks to Manager. o Monitor execution of job orders, analyze delays and interruptions, resolve any potential issues, and accordingly adjust production schedule to meet deadlines. o Investigate production problems, analyze root causes, and provide solutions. Escalate complex issues to Manager for resolution. o Identify and recommend resolution of bottlenecks and capacity issues with Manager, coordinate internally and externally the resolution of the issues. o Communicate production status to stakeholder on regular basis. o Coordinate the implementation of engineering changes and BOMs corrections with stakeholders. o Execute inventory management processes to avoid shortages and excesses. o Monitor production progress and ensure material movement in production cycles to ensure continuous operations while meeting customer expectations and specifications. o Adhere to company standards and production policies to meet company objectives. o Maintain reports for production planning activities and sequences. o Assist as requested in all inventory management and month-end tasks. o Monitor ERP system parameters, including safety stock levels and A/B/C classification for finished goods, WIP and raw material inventories. o Assist in processing customer orders and shipments according to the established schedule. o Assist Managers in controlling production costs while maintaining the quality standards. o Execute the work order process including creation, review, generation, release, and closure. o Support purchasing, as necessary, including expediting suppliers purchase orders. o Performs other duties as required.
Position Requirements:
o Bachelor's degree preferred and/or three to five years of equivalent industry experience o Small to medium-sized manufacturing company experience/background, minimum o Notable success and progressive experience in production planning/materials management o High energy, a keen attention to detail and diligence o Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills o MS Office and ERP platform proficiency o Excellent verbal and written communication skills o Ability to demonstrate outstanding follow up skills, internally and externally o Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, changeable environment o Exceptional organization, time management, and interpersonal skills o Positive and professional demeanor o Great team player
