Job Description

Job Title Expeditor Office III Position Overview Shaw Industries is seeking an Expeditor Office III for the second shift (Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM to midnight). This role is responsible for efficiently monitoring both inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery and meet customer requirements. The position involves close collaboration with Customer Service and Central Planning, particularly for Hard Surface orders. Candidates must be able to manage priorities effectively and demonstrate strong communication skills.   • Must possess good communication skills and be team oriented.
  • Must be able to see small numbers and words as displayed on the computer screen.
  • Must possess computer skills including knowledge of INVAR, G-link, Microsoft email, and M365 Drive. Knowledge of the units system.
  • Must complete all paperwork, reports etc as required.
  • Must be able to research and perform task concerning customer orders (utilizing distribution software)
  • Attendance is an essential function of the job, you must comply with the corporate absenteeism and tardiness policy.
  • Must be able to work necessary overtime including weekends.
  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend shipping documents, bin locations, and customer orders.
  • Must be able to perform simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Must train to operate all Hard Surface powered industrial equipment.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must be able to make decisions with guidance form Lead and/or Supervisor Qualifications
  • Responsible for expediting/prioritizing shipping orders.
  • Must follow up on Hard Surface orders and make sure they are being shipped in an orderly and efficient manner.
  • Handle calls from Customer Service and Central Planning.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively along with giving and receiving instruction from associates and management.
  • Helping clerks or LTO's with computer problems.
  • Performing the duties of the lead man, clerk, or lift truck operator when needed or asked and fulfilling all other duties deemed necessary by plant supervisors or management.
  • Helping to keep the shipping area clean.
  • Must follow all safety rules.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to sit on lift truck for entire shift.
  • Must be able to build and break down Hard Surface pallets.
  • Must be able to stand on your feet for the entire shift.
  • Must be able to stand on order picker/stand up lift for the entire shift.
  • Must be able to mount/dismount lift truck on an average 15 times per hour.
  • Must be able to work in a warehouse environment that may be quite warm or cool.
  • Must be able to bend and lift up to 100 lbs.
Position Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
