Piko Provisions seeks an Operations & Quality Manager, hungry to make a change in our local food system by helping our operations to run smoothly, effectively, and ensure the highest quality food goes out to our community. This person's objective will be to lead our operations team in food safety, production, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipment and delivery, product manufacturing and preparation, and overall operational efficiency and improvement. To be successful, you should be excited about and committed to being a hands-on team leader and adding value while improving customer experiences and able to ensure operational efficiency. Ultimately, a top-notch candidate should have excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Piko Provisions is a fast-growing food and beverage company rooted in Hawai'i, focused on building high-quality products with operational excellence at our core. We're looking for a hands-on Operations & Quality Manager to own both production and food safety as we scale. This is a highly autonomous role for someone who thrives in a startup environment—comfortable building systems from scratch, solving problems in real time, and working directly on the production floor alongside the team.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Production & Operations Translate sales orders into a weekly production plan (adjusted daily as needed) Ensure all materials, labor, and equipment are ready for each production run Run day-to-day production: hitting output targets, managing labor, minimizing waste Oversee shipping, receiving, and inventory coordination Step into the line as needed—this is a working manager role (lifting, organizing, filling, troubleshooting) Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve basic equipment issues to minimize downtime Build and continuously improve production systems as we scale Team Leadership Hire, train, and manage a small but growing production team Schedule and oversee Equipment Operators and Production Assistants Create a culture of accountability, efficiency, and pride in the work Lead by example on the floor Quality & Food Safety Own all quality control and food safety processes end-to-end Ensure accuracy in batching, production, packaging, and labeling Build and maintain SQF-aligned systems (records, logs, traceability, sanitation, etc.) Manage COAs, allergen controls, and product testing Lead mock recalls and maintain audit readiness Serve as point of contact for audits and regulatory interactions Systems & Continuous Improvement Build simple, effective systems (often in Excel) for scheduling, tracking, and reporting Own and manage operational systems including accounting, inventory, and traceability software Ensure accurate inventory tracking, lot traceability, and production reconciliation Analyze production and quality data to improve efficiency and reduce waste Help design the future state of our production as we grow
WHO YOU ARE

QUALIFICATIONS
Experienced SQF Practitioner/Implementor Experience in food manufacturing (operations and/or quality) Experience managing people in a production environment Strong production planning experience (Excel-based scheduling) Experience with business and operational systems (e.g., QuickBooks , inventory management, and traceability software) Better Process Control School (BPCS) certification required (or willingness to obtain quickly) Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certification required (or willingness to obtain quickly) HACCP certification (or willingness to obtain quickly) Experience with audits, recalls, and regulatory compliance preferred Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues Ability to lift, move, and work on your feet for extended periods
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Salary:
$75,000 - $100,000 , depending on experience Full medical benefits PTO, sick leave, paid holidays Additional benefits available through our
