Outpatient Scheduler

We are seeking an Outpatient Scheduler to help support our busy and growing outpatient clinic. What does the Outpatient Scheduler do? Primary duties are scheduling persons served, assisting with administrative duties, managing faxes and plans of care, and medical record management. Directly interacts with our persons served and families on a regular basis, providing guidance and assistance through processes they may be unfamiliar with This full-time position primarily works Monday-Thursday 9:30-6pm, Friday 9-5, approximately 40 total hours per week. An excellent candidate for this position meets the following criteria: Is willing to be a daily champion for our persons served Is team-oriented, a lifelong learner, and an excellent communicator in all formats: in-person, phone, email, etc. Is a positive and compassionate person Is a servant leader who puts others before her/himself, treating all with dignity & respect Has some personal or professional experience with individuals with disabilities or special needs Has at least 2 years of higher education Has experience working in an Outpatient environment Ability to handle sometimes stressful situations with compassion and empathy as persons served and families are challenged with new realities, unfamiliar services, etc.
