ALGONA CAMPUS OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
GENERALJOB SUMMARY
This is a full-time position located at the Algona Campus. Primary responsibilities are to serve as the primary point of contact at the campus, welcome students and visitors, manage incoming calls, and perform a range of administrative tasks. This role will support the Continuing and Professional Education department to respond to general inquiries, coordinate class registration and reconciliation, and maintain accurate data reports. The Specialist will collaborate with various college departments to provide support and service to un- and under-employed populations. Success in this position requires strong customer service, organization, and communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Demonstrated experience and commitment to customer service is a necessity.Position:

Algona Campus and Continuing and Professional Education Report to: Tietz Entrepreneurial Center Coordinator/Algona Campus SupervisorESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
(% OF TIME): Constant (67-100%) Respond accurately to inquiries from students, instructors, and others, and route calls to the appropriate resources as needed. Build and maintain accurate records for current and prospective students/courses using systems such as Ellucian and Augusoft. Complete Continuing Education registrations to maintain accurate program mailing lists, contact records, and class rosters. Assist Continuing Education staff with scheduling and class preparation. Engage in MIS Reporting activities with focus on non-credit course data. Frequent (34-66%) Accept payments, issue receipts, and process deposits to include all cashiering transactions. Coordinate scheduling of Algona Campus classrooms and offices. Work with Campus Supervisor to coordinate events/activities on the Algona Campus. Assist with outside organizations' events held at the Tietz Entrepreneurial Center. Prepare purchase orders, requisitions, and other forms. Oversee and maintain the Algona Campus door lock system. Assist leadership by providing data to measure outcomes and evaluate programs. Assist with management of the Algona Campus and Continuing Education social media pages. Occasional (10-33%) Assist the Campus Supervisor to prepare reports. Monitor and order campus supplies. Ensure office equipment is in working order and coordinate service or repairs with the appropriate personnel. Process certificates for completed classes. Effective written and verbal communication skills, including proper grammar, punctuation, and basic mathematical ability. Ability to efficiently perform tasks in an environment of frequent interruptions. Ability to assume responsibility and deal effectively with problems, exercise good judgment when making decisions. Ability to take notes at meetings and prepare an accurate record of events. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.SPECIAL DEMANDS
Sedentary to light work. Position involves sitting most of the time. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally (10-33%). Stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, and carrying occasionally (10-33%). Walking, lifting, and grasping frequently (34-66%). Talking, hearing, viewing various types of close visual work, and repetitive motion, constantly (67-100%). May be required to travel utilizing a personal vehicle. Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and provide proof of insurance. Employment with Iowa Lakes Community College is dependent upon successful passage of a criminal background check. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. High School Diploma or equivalency and minimum of one year customer service work experience required. An associate or bachelor's degree in education, student services, business, or related area is preferred. Student Services experience at the college level preferred.Salary:
