Must live within a 2-mile radius of Logan Square (2600 N. Western) About the Role GonzoCar is looking for 2 dedicated Fleet Operations Assistants to join our permanent on-call team. We lease vehicles to rideshare drivers and need a reliable, detail-oriented crew to manage ground operations across the city. This is a long-term partnership. We are looking for "car people" who are mechanically inclined, own their own vehicle, and take pride in a helping to maintain a fleet to professional standards.

Payment & Tax Information Payments:

Made weekly via Zelle or Chime.

Tax Status:

This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position. You are responsible for your own taxes. The GonzoCar Pay Menu (Stack Your Daily Earnings) New Fleet Intake (Full Setup): $150.00 (Full upfit: covers, mats, guards, OBD scan, fluids, shop, clean, inspection report, and test drive).

Driver Return & Damage Inspection:

$75.00 (Damage report + mechanical scan + Fluid Check + Test drive + transport to car wash).

Vehicle Recovery:

$25.00 (+ $1.25 per mile driven).

Shop Logistics:

$20.00 Pickup Fee (+ $1.25 per mile driven). License Plate Pickup (Office): $22.00 + mileage

Front License Plate Bracket & Plate Install:

$15.00 Wait Time (Mechanics/Tow): $12.50/hr Test Drive (30-Min Diagnostic): $30.00

Individual Accessory Installs:

Seat Covers ($25), Steering Wheel Cover ($7), Rear Bumper Guard ($9), Side Adhesive Guards ($2/ea).

Maintenance:

Fluid Top-off ($11), Inspection Sheet/Report ($22). Time based for other tasks not listed: $0.27 per minute Opportunity for Bonus Pay based on performance

Responsibilities Fleet Upfitting:

Install interior/exterior protection (seat covers, bumper guards, etc.).

Quality Control:

Transport vehicles to professional car washes and verify detail quality.

Mechanical Safety:

Use an OBD-II scanner to run health reports and perform safety test drives.

Reporting:

Submit digital damage reports and photos via smartphone for every vehicle return. Fluid Top Offs Some basic mechanical work (Brakes, suspension, light bulbs, etc.)

Requirements Automotive Experience:

Background in DIY car repair, basic mechanics, or professional fleet work is required.

Vehicle:

You must have your own reliable car to travel between various locations.

Reliability:
