As the market share leader in exterior automotive lighting, NAL provides advanced lighting technology, engineering design expertise, and state-of-the-art production capabilities to auto makers based in North America and around the world. Our Opportunity North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Quality Lab Technician/Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will plan and schedule all of the environmental and photometric testing of individual lighting components and completed lamp assemblies in accordance with established company, customer, industry, and regulatory standards and specifications. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Your Priorities Creates testing schedules for each job, machine, and/or tool and coordinates those schedules in order to develop and maintain a Master Testing Schedule. Monitors the amount of time a job is on a machine and/or tool, checks its progress, and verifies that each job is on schedule in order to maintain the master schedule. Works with the manager and supervisor of the lab in order to prioritize work. Provides Work Orders to the assigned employees. Helps to coordinate the preventative maintenance of the lab equipment to incorporate the PM plan into the master schedule. Creates testing schedules for annual product validation, as required by the customer, and incorporates them into the master schedule. The salary range for this position is $51,400 - $72,000 per year. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, qualifications, and the career level at which the position is filled. Requirements Your Background Associate's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline, plus 2 to 4 years of experience in a related position that worked with electronic, environmental, and photometric equipment OR High School Diploma or GED, plus 4 to 6 years of experience in a related position that worked with electronic, environmental, and photometric equipment. Laboratory experience with electronic, environmental, and photometric equipment within the automotive supplier industry, and Proficiency using MS Project software is preferred.
