$34-36/hr ($1,275
  • $1,350 weekly) based on experience
Local Pay:
$26-30/hr ($975
  • $1,125 weekly) based on experience Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Coordinator to support a high-volume Sterile Processing Department (SPD) in Elmhurst, IL.
This role will focus heavily on loaner and consignment tray coordination, production oversight, workflow management, and communication between vendors, clinical teams, and SPD staff. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, leadership abilities, and extensive SPD experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Responsibilities Loaner & Consignment Tray Coordination Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming and outgoing loaner and consignment trays Verify tray accuracy, completeness, and integrity before and after sterilization Coordinate with vendors, clinical staff, and SPD teams to ensure timely processing and availability of instruments Track and document tray movement throughout the sterilization and return cycle Production & Workflow Oversight Support daily SPD production flow and prioritize workloads for operational efficiency Identify and resolve delays, discrepancies, and workflow bottlenecks proactively Communicate effectively with technicians and leadership regarding production goals and operational updates Assist with day-to-day guidance and oversight of Production Technicians as needed Communication & Relationship Management Act as a liaison between vendors, clinical departments, and SPD staff Maintain communication regarding tray status, delivery schedules, and special requests Represent the department professionally in all internal and external interactions Data & Reporting Maintain accurate documentation of tray movements, sterilization records, and production data Utilize tracking systems and reporting tools to support workflow and compliance Generate reports related to productivity, trends, and operational improvements Ensure documentation meets regulatory and quality standards Requirements Education High School Diploma or GED required Certifications & Licensure CRCST or CSPDT certification required Required Experience & Skills 3-5 years of hands-on SPD experience required Strong experience with loaner and consignment tray management Experience coordinating across departments, vendors, and leadership teams Proficiency with instrument tracking systems and reporting tools Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting Professional, proactive, and team-oriented mindset required For more details reach at or Call / Text at 732-791-4827.
