Job Description:
Essential Functions:
Responsible for ensuring production schedules are implemented within assigned factory. Troubleshoot and analyze internal production issues, expedite work orders and raw material procurement, and participate in the review and disposition of rejected material and product. Coordinate multiple activities to assure on- time delivery, production and inventory goals are met. Team with the Manufacturing Manager, Production Leaders and support personnel to assure that the

Specific Responsibilities Include :
Work with various associates/departments to schedule orders for production. Follow through on released work orders. Research and forecast raw material and supplies consumption. Assist purchasing Dept. in identifying and ordering raw materials and supplies. Interface with production to resolve problems relevant to wire receipt, raw material quality, quantity verification, cost allocation and wire issuance to production. Monitor resource requirements to assure schedule requirements are met. Interface with other departments (Sales, Shipping, Processing, Engineering, and Quality) to resolve problems with timely delivery or production issues. Troubleshoot customer application issues. Coordinate and work with process technicians (operators) in the operation of plant equipment and fastener manufacturing and testing methods. Facilitate lean manufacturing initiatives that are tied to cost reduction, process improvements and new business development. Coordinate various projects tied to process improvements and production needs. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement daily. Take the initiate to resolve production, planning and purchasing issues without supervision. Perform other tasks as needed in support of manufacturing operations, customers and suppliers. Adhere to all company policies and procedures and environmental health and safety rules.
Experience and Background:
Prefer Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering. Associates Degree in any of these three may be acceptable. Knowledge of production planning, inventory management, JIT concepts and PLEX is a plus. Minimum of five years of manufacturing experience in the metal working industry. (Fastener manufacturing preferred). Must be familiar with a wide variety of manufacturing processes. Strong leadership and communication skills. Strong computer skills including knowledge of Windows, Excel, Word, PLEX and Outlook. Demonstrated commitment to employee involvement, participative management, and continuous improvement. PC Literate.
