Job Description

Position Summary:
The Operations Assistant Intern is an entry-level opportunity designed for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in business operations, administrative support, and organizational processes within a nonprofit community healthcare organization. This role provides practical training and work experience while supporting day-to-day operational activities across departments and assisting with administrative coordination in a professional healthcare environment. The intern will work closely with operational leaders and administrative staff to learn organizational workflows, office procedures, and professional workplace expectations. No prior office or healthcare experience is required; training will be provided.
Essential Functions:
Provide administrative and operational support to various departments as assigned Assist with organizing, filing, scanning, and maintaining records and documentation Support scheduling, meeting coordination, and general office operations Assist with data entry and maintaining accurate operational information Help prepare materials, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations as directed Support inventory tracking and office supply organization Assist with special projects and operational initiatives Answer and direct phone calls or internal inquiries professionally Help maintain organized and efficient office workspaces Collaborate with team members to support daily operational needs Maintain confidentiality of organizational and employee information Participate in training sessions, team meetings, and professional development opportunities Perform other administrative and operational support duties as assigned
Learning Opportunities:
This internship is designed to provide practical exposure and professional development in the following areas: Business and healthcare operations Administrative coordination and office management Professional communication and workplace etiquette Data entry, reporting, and organizational systems Time management, multitasking, and problem-solving Team collaboration and operational workflow processes Microsoft Office and business software applications Qualifications No prior healthcare or office experience is required. Training and mentorship will be provided throughout the internship. High school diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in a high school, college, or vocational program Interest in business administration, healthcare operations, nonprofit management, or office administration Basic computer and keyboarding skills Strong organizational and communication skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality Dependable attendance and ability to work in a team environment Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Physical Demands:
May sit for long periods of time Must be able to see and hear within normal range with or without correction device(s) Dexterity and hand to eye coordination as normally associated with operating office equipment, computers and telephones
