Job Description

Position Description:
We are looking for a motivated and engaged team member to join our growing organization. The Expeditor plays a critical role in the cabinet manufacturing process by coordinating and monitoring the flow of materials, components, and finished products through production to ensure orders are completed accurately and on schedule. This position works closely with production, purchasing, engineering, scheduling, shipping, and quality teams to identify and resolve delays, shortages, or issues that may impact customer deliveries. Some responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Track production schedules and open work orders to ensure cabinet jobs are completed on time. Monitor the availability of materials, components, and hardware needed for cabinet production. Coordinate with purchasing, inventory control, and suppliers to expedite materials as needed. Communicate daily with production supervisors regarding priorities, shortages, and schedule changes. Identify production bottlenecks or delays and proactively work to resolve them. Verify job specifications, finishes, hardware, and routing accuracy throughout the production process. Ensure completed cabinets are staged properly and ready for finishing, assembly, or shipment. Collaborate with quality control to address defects, rework, or non‑conforming materials. Maintain accurate production tracking, documentation, and reports. Communicate order status clearly to management and customer service teams. Support continuous improvement efforts to improve production flow and on‑time delivery. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Commitment to workplace safety. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple jobs simultaneously. Attention to detail and accuracy in tracking orders and materials. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work well in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Proficiency with basic computer systems, production software, or ERP systems. Job Qualifications and Education High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in manufacturing, expediting, production control, or cabinet industry preferred. Knowledge of cabinet manufacturing processes, materials, and construction methods a plus. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the manufacturing facility for extended periods 20,000+steps per day. Ability to lift up to 50-75lbs occasionally. Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures typical of a manufacturing environment. Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. About Us R.D. Henry & Co. is a leading cabinetry manufacturer in Wichita, Kansas.
