Full Time, Monday•Friday, Weekends / On Call, as needed. Position Summary The Offshore Field Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily offshore operations, coordinating communication between offshore personnel and shore-based management, and ensuring company expectations are met in the areas of safety, personnel performance, service quality and customer satisfaction. This position serves as a key point of contact between the offshore crew and SONOCO's operations team. The Offshore Field Coordinator must be able to work independently, communicate clearly, address issues promptly, and ensure all work is performed safely, professionally, and in accordance with company policies and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities Operations Support Coordinate daily offshore activities related to personnel and logistics. Monitor work performance to ensure service standards are being met. Assist with crew change coordination, personnel movement, and required offshore documentation. Serve as the liaison between offshore personnel, customer representatives, and shore-based management. Ensure operational issues are reported promptly and followed through until resolved. Support cooks, galley hands, utility hands, and other offshore personnel as needed. Personnel Leadership Provide guidance and support to offshore personnel. Help onboard new employees and reinforce company expectations. Monitor professionalism, attendance, work habits, and compliance with company policies. Address minor performance issues and report serious concerns to management. Encourage teamwork, accountability, and respectful workplace behavior. Assist with coaching employees on safe work practices and operational standards. Documentation & Reporting Complete required reports accurately and submitted on time. Maintain records related to personnel and customer concerns. Communicate daily updates to shore-based management as required. Ensure paperwork is clear, complete, and submitted through the proper channels. Required Qualifications Previous offshore experience preferred. Experience in catering, hospitality, food service, housekeeping, logistics, or offshore support operations preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to lead, coach, and work well with others. Basic computer skills for reporting, email, ordering systems, and documentation. Microsoft Office and Access knowledge preferred. Ability to understand and follow company policies, customer procedures, and safety requirements. Must be able to pass required pre-employment physical and drug screen. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and work in an office environment. Ability to lift and carry supplies as required. Ability to respond safely during drills, alarms, or emergency situations. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong leadership and communication skills. Good judgment and problem-solving ability. Ability to remain professional under pressure. Strong attention to detail. Knowledge of offshore operations Ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to maintain positive working relationships with customers and crew members.
