  • Position Summary:
  • We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Loan Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Team Lead to support a banking client in a hands-on operational leadership capacity focused on loan closing, boarding, and post-close operational workflows.
This consultant will play a key role in helping stabilize, support, and guide daily loan operations functions during a critical operational period.

This is a highly execution-oriented role requiring deep operational expertise within commercial and/or consumer loan operations environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience managing or leading loan operations teams, handling complex loan closing and boarding functions, and working extensively within FISERV Navigator, FISERV Premier, and FISERV Director environments.

Candidates must also have hands-on experience with FISERV (Navigator, Premier, and Director) as well as Abrigo and LaserPro platforms. SBA or government-guaranteed lending experience is not required for this opportunity, but it is nice to have._Due to the nature of the engagement, this assignment may last as little as 6 weeks or extend up to 6 months, depending on project needs and operational demands._
  • Essential Duties:
  • Serve as the operational SME and escalation point for loan closing, boarding, funding, and servicing activities.
  • Provide hands-on support and leadership to loan operations teams during periods of high volume, operational transition, or stabilization.
  • Oversee and support accurate loan boarding and maintenance within FISERV Navigator, Premier, and Director systems.
  • Review and validate loan documentation, boarding accuracy, funding processes, and post-close operational activities.
  • Partner closely with lending, credit, compliance, accounting, and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate loan processing.
  • Utilize Abrigo and LaserPro platforms for documentation review, workflow support, and operational processing.
  • Assist with operational workflow improvements, process documentation, and issue resolution.
  • Identify operational gaps, exceptions, and risk areas while helping implement corrective actions and best practices.
  • Support training, mentoring, and guidance for junior loan operations staff as needed.
  • Assist management with reporting, pipeline monitoring, and operational prioritization.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of progressive loan operations experience within a banking environment.
  • Strong operational background in loan closing, boarding, funding, servicing, and post-close processes.
  • Prior experience serving as a Team Lead, Manager, SME, or operational escalation resource within loan operations.
  • Hands-on expertise with:o FISERV Navigatoro FISERV Premiero FISERV Directoro Abrigoo LaserPro
  • Strong understanding of loan documentation and operational controls.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote consulting environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and operational deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Skills and Job-Specific Competencies:
  • Experience supporting operational stabilization initiatives, conversions, backlog cleanup efforts, or process improvement projects.
  • Experience working within regional banks, community banks, or mid-sized financial institutions.
  • Familiarity with commercial, consumer, and/or real estate lending operations.
  • Prior consulting or contract engagement experience preferred.
  • Travel Requirements:

  • Salary Range:
  • SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background.
As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $95 - 100.
