Position Overview:

Best of Care is searching for an efficient and motivated Scheduling Coordinator to be the crucial link between our caregivers and clients. If you love problem-solving, juggling multiple tasks, and ensuring seamless service, this role is for you! As the Scheduling Coordinator, you'll manage the day-to-day scheduling of our field employees while being a vital point of contact for clients. From handling new referrals to making sure every visit is filled, your attention to detail and communication skills will ensure that our clients always receive the best care.
Key Responsibilities:
Master of Schedules:
Coordinate and maintain up-to-date schedules for all field employees and clients using home care software, ensuring smooth operations and client satisfaction.
Client Advocate:
Respond quickly and professionally to client and referral source inquiries about staff availability, schedule changes, cancellations, and more.
Referral Champion:
Take charge of new referrals, ensuring they are staffed promptly, and build positive relationships with referral sources.
Team Collaborator:
Work closely with Elder Services Case Managers, VNA RNs, upper management, and clinical staff to ensure seamless, high-quality service delivery.
On-the-Ground Support:
Conduct home visits for Private Pay clients when necessary to ensure quality service and client satisfaction.
Scheduling Pro:
Keep meticulous records of schedule changes, important notes, and updates in the home care software while managing client status changes.
Quality Guardian:
Collaborate with HR and payroll to handle personnel or scheduling issues, ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining high standards of care.
Multitasking Wizard:
Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including phone calls, emails, faxes, and in-person interactions with field staff, without missing a beat! What You'll Bring to

Experience:
Previous experience in home care, especially as a Scheduling Coordinator, is preferred but not required.
Tech Savvy:
Proficient with scheduling software, Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and email. You can manage multiple tools without breaking a sweat.
Communicator Extraordinaire:
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to handle complex situations and draft reports or memos when needed.
Quick Thinker:
You can think clearly under pressure and act swiftly to resolve any scheduling or client-related challenges that come your way.
Home Care Knowledge:
Understanding of HIPAA, client privacy, and ethical standards in home health care is a plus. Bilingual in Haitan Creole/French is a plus!
Minimum Requirements and Abilities Required:
Prior experience in home care scheduling preferred, but we value passion and a willingness to learn. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Internet, and email). A college education is required. Ability to operate office equipment such as telephones, fax machines, copiers, and computers with ease. Flexibility to work with a wide variety of personalities and age groups. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to juggle tasks efficiently.
