In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and medical records with precision and care. Your energetic approach will help streamline clinic operations, enhance patient experience, and support the overall success of our dental practice. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional front desk customer service Schedule, reschedule, and confirm dental appointments using advanced scheduling software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare and Medicaid, ensuring accurate billing and coding with CPT, ICD-9, and ICD-10 codes Manage patient records efficiently within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, maintaining clear communication and effective phone etiquette Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, including medical histories and care plans Assist with insurance verification, claims processing, and follow-up on outstanding payments or collections Maintain organized filing systems for medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality Support clinic operations by performing clerical tasks such as data entry, typing, filing, and managing office supplies Experience Proven experience in medical or dental administrative support within a clinical setting Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and medical billing procedures Experience with insurance verification processes including Medicare and Medicaid guidelines Bilingual skills are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations Demonstrated ability to manage appointment scheduling efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software Prior clinic or dental office experience is highly desirable to ensure smooth integration into our team Join us in delivering outstanding dental care by providing seamless administrative support that keeps our clinic running smoothly.
