About Us Visiting Angels of Edgewater, MD, delivers premium, compassionate home care. We are seeking a dynamic leader for our Staffing & Scheduling Care Coordinator position. This critical role serves as the central heartbeat of our local operations, bridging the gap between our clients, their families, and our dedicated caregiving team. The Opportunity This is a high-impact, dual-responsibility role designed for a skilled coordinator who loves both administrative strategy and hands-on caregiving. You will manage scheduling logistics from the office and step into the field as an elite Caregiver Floater to cover critical shifts and ensure seamless continuity of care.
Position Logistics Primary Location:
Edgewater, MD.
Commute Requirement:
Must reside within 15 minutes of Edgewater, MD.
Onboarding:
Includes 1 month of intensive, paid training at our Gaithersburg, MD office.
Travel:
Reliable vehicle required to travel between client homes and facilities.
Key Responsibilities Optimize Schedules:
Take total ownership of assigned cases to ensure 100% shift coverage.
Precision Matching:
Pair clients with the ideal caregivers based on clinical needs, personality, and availability.
Database Integrity:
Maintain real-time accuracy within our scheduling and CRM software.
On-Call Rotation:
Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation to support emergency staffing needs.
Client Advocacy:
Conduct virtual and in-person supervisory visits and start-of-care assessments.
Caregiver Mentorship:
Supervise, train, and motivate caregivers to ensure adherence to custom care plans.
Rapid Response Floater:
Act as an on-call care provider to cover sick calls, open shifts, or urgent client needs.
What We Are Looking For Industry Expert:
Direct experience as both a Home Care Scheduling Coordinator and a hands-on Caregiver.
Credentials:
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is highly preferred.
Professional Track Record:
2+ years in customer service and administration derived from a reputable home care agency (Supervisory experience is highly valued).
Education:
High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Core Competencies Communication:
Masterful written and verbal communication skills with high emotional intelligence.
Technical Agility:
Advanced computer literacy with the ability to master proprietary scheduling software instantly.
