  • WILTON IT Operations Assistant Information Technology Services Job Goal(s): The IT Operations Assistant will play a dynamic role in ensuring efficient and effective operation of the IT Services department.
This role will be responsible for triaging incoming support requests, facilitating the resolution of existing support requests, maintaining complete and accurate technology inventory, providing limited Tier 1 technology support and performing other administrative support tasks for the department. Qualifications Associates degree in business or other related field; Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills; Demonstrated record of providing excellent customer service; Demonstrated attention to detail; Ability to work cooperatively with others as part of a team; Ability to work independently, be self-directed, and motivated; Ability to prioritize and adapt quickly to changing environments; Ability to meet established deadlines; Demonstrated proficiency in the use of technology including Google Workspace, macOS, and iOS operating systems; Proficiency in the use of helpdesk software; Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and overall website design fundamentals; Basic knowledge of using a website content management system; This position may require travel throughout the district so reliable transportation is a must (mileage reimbursement is available); Hold a valid Maine
DOE CHRC.
Performance Responsibilites:
General Monitor incoming phone, in-person, and digital support requests and triage based on department standards; Monitor technology support tickets to ensure progress is maintained, documented and communicated to end users; Utilize department helpdesk software to document all work performed; Assist in managing the departments ticketing system by keeping abreast of platform improvements and suggesting upgrades and workflow changes to maximize the efficiency of the system; Assist with department finances including creation of PO requisitions; Interface and consult regularly with technology team members; Assist with summer projects; Provide technology onboarding services for all new district staff; Provide basic Tier 1 technology support to end users; Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Technology or their designee.
Performance Responsibilities:
Inventory Management Research potential purchases for IT Services department and other district users; Work with vendor contacts on product selection and pricing; Create PO requisitions in ADS for anticipated purchases; Place and track department orders; Receive orders and properly label assets and enter information into appropriate tracking databases; Audit existing technology assets to ensure accurate inventories; Facilitating submission of PO and invoice packets to accounts payable for processing.
Performance Responsibilities:
Website and Social Media Coordinator Serve as the main point of contact for updates and additions to the district website; Make edits to the overall design and content of the district website at the direction of the building or program administrator; Proactively add relevant content to keep the website current and meaningful; Make edits to staff directory information to ensure that building or program staff is complete and accurate; Suggest edits to relevant portions of the website to building or program administrators.
Terms of Employment:
260 days per year; 8 hours per day; general office hours are between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm but employee schedules may be adjusted to meet the department needs and work outside these hours may be required; salary determined annually by the Board of Directors.
Reports To:
Director of Technology or their designee.
Evaluation:
Completed annually by the Director of Technology, or their designee.
