Clinton Township Location Position Purpose:
The scheduler is the backbone to our Autism Center running smoothly. The scheduler assists in ensuring staff and clients are paired well in their personalities, skill strengths and needs, which allows for optimal treatment benefits and improves staff morale. The scheduler also balances this pairing with evolving schedules and staff changes. Additional tasks include running reports, overseeing staff training, communicating with the team regarding staffing needs, setting and modeling performance expectations, and document management. This role may also require the scheduler to be willing to implement 1-1 ABA services directly with our clients to support the center in staffing substitutions, staff bathroom breaks, and to bridge staff tardies. The understanding of the staff's role and client familiarity will also assist the scheduler in their role of appropriate staff and clients together.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Excellent verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills required. Problem resolution and organizational skills required. Proficiency using Microsoft 365 required. Attention to detail and time management skills required. Basic mathematical skills required.

None Expectations and Responsibilities:
Prepare the Behavior Technician Schedule at the assigned center in the scheduling software. Work directly with clients providing Behavior Analytic services, including shift substituting, break support, etc. Schedule and oversee the training for all employees at their center location. This also includes documentation management and management of deadlines as well as expiration dates to maintain compliance with training standards. Audit clinical notes and match with scheduling shift to prepare for billing. Monitor the Center's Call-off line to plan for staff absences/tardies. Keep the Center Staffing schedule up-to-date based on call-offs and staff availability. Manage deadlines for staff availability requests, time off requests and monitor alignment with staff FTE status Work closely with the UPAC Center Director on scheduling and timekeeping issues. Prepare scheduling reports for staff and clients and report them to UPAC Center Director. Organize and maintain paper files and electronic files. Manage staff attendance including tracking, reporting, planning and payroll processes. Monitor and approve timecards. Conduct New Hire Orientation to new employees. Provide support to staff who are managing challenging behaviors through implementation of Safety Care strategies. Support the organization of the Center, and ensure materials are up to date and fully stocked (i.e. batteries in toys and other office equipment is in working order) Oversee UPAC policies and procedures and monitor and follow up with staff on their assigned tasks. Provide support to the recruiter for phone screenings and communication for new hires as needed. Implement opening and/or closing management for the center. Employees are expected to be available to provide services during non-traditional work setting when needed during these non-traditional business hours. Working Conditions:
Providing physical care, support, guidance, and supervision of daily activities consistent with the treatment plan and ABA programming. They need to be physically and mentally flexible as things are constantly changing in this workplace. They must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, sit and stand for long periods, run for short durations, and move between these actions readily. Maintaining a safe therapeutic environment for the client and their family. Assisting with physical management of clients. At times staff are required to lift a child and support clients ages 0-21 who have challenging and sometimes severe problem behavior. Engaging in physical activities that may include sitting and standing for long periods of time, getting up and down off the floor, running, and other physical activities related to play with children of all ages. Assisting with daily living activities that may include changing soiled clothing and diapers, and assisting clients with dressing, showering, brushing teeth, etc. All staff will follow the ethical guidelines outlined by the BACB https://www.bacb.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/170706-compliance-code-english.pdf and uphold the UPAC organizational values, policies and procedures. This includes maintaining confidentiality of client information, both written and verbal, running treatment to integrity, and treating all people with dignity and respect. All staff must also follow established policies and procedures to meet minimum life safety standards of JCAHO/OSHA and the Department of Human Services SOM Licensing. UP Autism Centers provide services, including home services to children with autism. The hours of operation are Monday

- 8 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m.
