MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Two (2) years' experience as a Public Engagement Specialist;
  • OR•Two (2) years' experience working in a courtroom as a court clerk•AND•the ability to type 30 net w.
p.m.;
JOB SUMMARY
Performs a variety of responsible tasks in the Legal Records Division of the Circuit Court, including court records maintenance consistent with applicable standards; may be required to provide courtroom support if so directed; work is performed under the general supervision of the Operations and Public Engagement Manager, may also work under the general supervision of the Records and Systems Manager, if so directed; performs related duties as required.
STATEMENT OF TASKS
Assists in the selection and swearing in of jurors and maintains required information; May be required to officially record all verdicts, motions, sentences and other court proceedings; May be required to work at the point of public access, assisting court users; May be required to answer both case specific and general questions; Prepares case files to be reviewed by a Judge; Organizes, files, scans and indexes case information; Responds to correspondence relative to copies of requested files; Maintains court files in compliance with case management standards; Utilizes computers for data input, data retrieval and word processing.
