Job Description

SCOPE - Full-or Part-Time
DESCRIPTION
- We seek a creative and dependable Baker to join our culinary team. Our in-house bakeshop produces both small-scale scratch items for member dining and themed events, alongside large-scale "speed-scratch," pre-mix, and ready-to-bake/serve items prepared and plated for high-volume banquets. If you have a passion for baking, commercial kitchen experience, and an aptitude for production planning and inventory awareness, we offer significant opportunities for professional growth. Utilize commercial kitchen equipment to professionally produce bakery items and desserts while adhering to safe-food practices. This role demands attention to detail and a strong passion for quality. The ideal candidate will share our vision of creating memorable experiences for members and their guests through tasty finishes that are artfully presented.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Planning:
Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to accurately prepare and bake appropriate quantities for scheduled functions.
Themed Execution:
Create memorable dining experiences by preparing and plating desserts that align with our Club themes and seasonal events.
Inventory Coordination:
Monitor stock levels of mixes, par-baked/frozen goods, and accoutrements to ensure the bakery is production-ready.
Quality & Consistency:
Follow established recipes and help create new plating guides and recipe books to maintain "Club-standard" presentation.
Display & Presentation:
Design and set up visually stunning dessert displays for club buffets and banquet stations, ensuring items are replenished and the presentation remains stellar throughout the event.

You have a sharp eye for plating and presentation, as well as the accuracy needed for consistency and inventory stock.
Ambition:
A desire to learn and grow hands-on in a professional bakeshop beyond just the creation including inventory and BEO production scheduling in a team environment.
Collaborative Spirit:
You're a joy to work with and enjoy being part of a team. You maintain a professional and helpful attitude, and can pivot when a teammate needs support.
