The Business Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational efficiency of the firm, with a focus on administrative systems, human resources support, IT coordination, and staff management. This role ensures that the firm's internal operations run smoothly so attorneys and legal staff can focus on client representation and case outcomes. This position requires strong organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple operational areas in a fast-paced legal environment. Duties Oversee and improve daily operational workflows across departments Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements Assist leadership with operational planning and firm-wide initiatives Coordinate office logistics, vendors, and supplies Maintain internal documentation, policies, and procedures Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding of employees Maintain employee records and HR documentation in compliance with applicable laws Coordinate job postings, interviews, and candidate screening schedules Support performance review processes and employee feedback systems Help administer benefits coordination and employee communications Ensure HR policies are up to date and consistently applied Serve as liaison between staff and external IT providers or internal IT support Help maintain workflow balance across intake, legal assistants, and support staff Assist leadership in addressing staffing gaps or performance issues Promote accountability and consistency in daily operations Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; advanced certifications are a plus.
