Job Description Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. is seeking an Jr. Operations Specialist (IRA) to join our Operations team in Troy, Michigan. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, work independently, and demonstrate strong relationship management skills.
Responsibilities:
Utilize knowledge and apply it to individual retirement plans (i.e. account contributions, transfers, rollovers, conversions, journals, recharacterization and distributions.) Utilize knowledge and apply it as it relates to qualified retirement plans (i.e. contributions, distributions, third party distributions, loans and terminating plans) Navigate and understand the FINET system relevant to the department Processing Death Claims Participate in Ad hoc project work assigned
Qualifications:
Experience in a corporate environment, ideally within financial services industry preferred Knowledge of IRAs/Retirement Plans preferred Possess a high degree of proficiency with technology including MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) Basic Arithmetic skills Able to interface and articulate well with all levels of employees and management in a professional, timely and friendly manner Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a necessity Able to work independently
