Job Description

Huron Gastro, P.C. and the Center for Digestive Care is an adult medical gastroenterology practice and ambulatory surgery center, specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of disorders that affect the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine (colon), rectum, liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, and pancreas. Our practice includes 25 physicians who are board-certified in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, 10 physician assistants, and an outstanding staff of clinical and administrative personnel. Education High school diploma or equivalent Medical Assistant certification helpful Medical terminology Experience 2 years of experience in a medical office setting, with familiarity of general office operations Previous GI or endoscopy experience preferred Experience and strong knowledge of medical terminology Experience and strong knowledge of medications and uses Expeditious and accurate data entry Position Skill Set Interview procedural patients for their health history, surgical history, social history and current medications/allergies Check out office patients and schedule procedures as needed Work out of the screening queue Manage assigned tasks Demonstrate excellent organizational skills Benefits Medical, Dental and Vision Paid Time Off Holidays Short and long term disability 401(k) Scrub allowance EOE
