Pay:
$95,000 - $105,000 per year + Bonus Eligibility About the Opportunity Risus Talent Partners is partnering with a well-established, employee-owned engineering and consulting organization to identify an experienced Senior Planner / Planning Lead . This individual will play a key role in leading land use planning, zoning, community development, and stakeholder engagement initiatives while helping support the continued growth of planning services throughout Minnesota. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned planning professional who enjoys both technical planning work and building relationships with municipalities, agencies, and community stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Lead land use planning, zoning, and community development projects Manage comprehensive plans, planning studies, and development reviews Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and public engagement efforts Coordinate project schedules, deliverables, and client communications Collaborate with engineering, environmental, and surveying professionals on multidisciplinary projects Mentor and support junior planning staff Build and maintain strong relationships with municipalities and local agencies Support business development and planning practice growth initiatives throughout Minnesota Qualifications Master's Degree in Urban & Regional Planning AICP Certification (American Institute of Certified Planners) required 10+ years of planning experience within Minnesota local government and/or consulting environments Strong experience in land use planning, zoning, and community development Project management experience Leadership, mentoring, or team development experience Proficiency with ArcGIS Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills Compensation & Benefits $95,000 - $105,000 annual base salary Bonus eligibility Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Comprehensive health benefits with 100% employee premium coverage Hybrid work flexibility Strong work-life balance Long-term leadership and career growth opportunities Apply Today If you are an experienced planning professional looking to make a meaningful impact on communities across Minnesota while joining a growing and highly respected organization, we encourage you to apply.
