Job Purpose:
The Operations Coordinator supports daily business operations by coordinating activities between departments, maintaining accurate records, monitoring workflows, and assisting with process improvements. This position serves as a central point of communication to help ensure efficient operations, timely completion of tasks, and achievement of company objectives.
Schedule:
Full time, M - F, onsite in Vesta Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Operational Support Coordinate daily operational activities across departments. Create and maintain workflow and production schedules to ensure deadlines are met. Adjust schedules quickly in response to urgent orders or production disruptions Assist with planning and prioritizing work to maximize efficiency. Review sales orders and customer due dates to determine production priorities Release, update, and close work orders in the ERP/MRP system Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports. Monitor production progress and resolve issues such as material shortages, machine downtime, or labor constraints. Escalate concerns as needed. Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts and material tracking Administrative Coordination Maintain operational records, databases, and documentation. Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and presentations for management. Schedule meetings and coordinate communication between departments. Assist with policy and procedure documentation. Supply Chain Support Coordinate purchasing, inventory, and production-related activities including ordering, receiving and putting away. Monitor inventory levels and assist with replenishment planning. Follow up on open orders, deliveries, and production schedules. Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding operational needs. Production Support Back up for embroidery. Back up for Sewn Products. Process Improvement Assist in developing and implementing process improvements. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Help document and standardize procedures. Support operational audits and compliance activities. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in manufacturing, production scheduling, or operations Basic to intermediate experience with ERP/MRP systems Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities Clear and practical communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience in a manufacturing or job-shop environment Working knowledge of inventory control and purchasing processes Proficiency in Excel or similar planning tools Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts Physical requirements: Regularly spend long hours sitting Ability to use standard office equipment and computer systems Regularly move from sitting to standing positions effortlessly Occasionally lift 5-10 pounds Sewn Products is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
