Job Description:
General Purpose Scheduler / Production Planner A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented scheduling professional to support production operations and ensure customer delivery requirements are met. This position plays a key role in coordinating production schedules, material flow, and manufacturing priorities while partnering closely with operations, engineering, supply chain, and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain production schedules for a variety of manufactured products to support customer demand and operational efficiency. Build and manage master schedules to establish production priorities, sequencing, and lead times. Review production requirements and capacity constraints to optimize workflow and resource utilization. Coordinate scheduling activities across multiple departments and manufacturing operations. Monitor material availability and production status to help ensure on-time completion of orders. Analyze production data and process information to improve scheduling accuracy and operational performance. Communicate schedule updates, production goals, and potential delays to leadership and cross-functional teams. Prepare reports related to production planning, output, and operational performance metrics. Partner with supervisors and managers to identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on streamlining manufacturing and planning processes.
Qualifications:
Experience in production scheduling, planning, manufacturing coordination, or supply chain operations. Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Manufacturing experience within industrial, aerospace, automotive, or related environments is highly preferred.
