We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Surgery Scheduler to coordinate surgical care and support our physicians and clinical teams. In this role, you will serve as a key liaison between patients, providers, and care teams to ensure seamless scheduling and an exceptional patient experience. What You Will Do Schedule all surgical procedures for assigned physicians, including post-operative visits Serve as liaison between physicians, clinical teams, and patients Verify physician orders, CPT codes, and diagnoses for accuracy Prepare surgical documentation, including consents, clinical notes, and test results Coordinate surgical instruments, equipment, and scheduling logistics Manage physician block time and identify opportunities for improved scheduling efficiency•Respond to patient inquiries and provide pre•and post-operative instructions Document all patient communications accurately in the EHR Ensure accurate scheduling of procedures, including correct site, time, and resources Assist clinical team members with clinic support as needed A Typical Day Coordinate surgical schedules, communicate with patients and providers, prepare documentation, and ensure patients are fully prepared for their procedures while supporting clinic operations. Schedule Monday•Friday, 8:00 AM•5:00 PM Hours may vary based on clinic and physician needs
What You'll Bring Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office setting required
Preferred:
surgical scheduling, insurance verification, Epic experience Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and workflows Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHR systems (Epic preferred)
