Job Description

Overview We are seeking a a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Planning & Logistics Coordinator to support our manufacturing and shipping operations. This role serves as the central point of coordination between Sales, Production, Warehouse, Logistics, and Customers to ensure orders are processed accurately, production schedules are executed efficiently, and shipments are delivered on time. Duties Enter and process customer orders accurately and efficiently. Schedule customer orders to meet requested ship dates and service requirements. Develop and maintain daily and weekly production, mill, and shipping schedules. Coordinate production schedules based on customer demand, plant capacity, and labor availability. Schedule freight carriers, customer delivery appointments, and outbound shipments. Communicate shipping requirements and appointment schedules with customers, carriers, warehouses, and distribution centers. Serve as the primary point of contact for order status, shipping schedules, and delivery coordination. Track and report schedule adherence, on-time shipments, and order fulfillment performance. Collaborate closely with Production, Warehouse, Quality, and Maintenance teams to ensure operational efficiency. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to scheduling, logistics, customer service, and plant operations. Experience High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of experience in production scheduling, logistics, customer service, manufacturing coordination, or a related field. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP/order entry systems. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in food manufacturing, agriculture, or consumer packaged goods. Knowledge of freight scheduling, transportation logistics, and inventory flow. Experience working with production planning or ERP software.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
