Job Description
Responsibilities Essential Job Functions:
Serve as the liaison between Operations teams and Procurement on projects as assigned by Procurement Manager Communicate with Strategic Sourcing team to make sure current procurement lead times are reflected in the project schedule Administer the procurement systems created to detect issues related to delivery, quantity, and product conformity on assigned projects Attend project meetings and communicate with project teams on current needs, provide updates on materials and identify upcoming procurement activities Escalate project related issues that need further direction to the Procurement Manager for guidance and input Gather information using Power BI and the company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and confer with Strategic Sourcing team on potential uses of keepsake/long-term inventory for assigned projects Coordinate with procurement manager and create requests for proposals for any materials not purchased strategic sourcing team Consult with Procurement Manager on best direction for given project material needs related to price and lead time Understand the material/equipment submittal process and coordinate with stakeholders to make sure vendors are completing tasks to maintain schedule Communicate with Procurement Buyers for completed orders to ensure reports are providing real time visibility to projects Update and maintain Material Status Report with the support of the procurement team Escalate any supplier/contractor issues to the procurement manager as necessary Understand vendor Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics and how vendor performance on a given project can affect the company Participate in discussions with the Project Scheduling team Maintain regular communication with suppliers on assigned projects and recognize when to involve the procurement manager for infrequent updates or vendor issues Ability to travel to site/suppliers as needed Other duties as assignedQualifications Education and Work Experience Requirements:
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Construction Management, Engineering, Business or relevant field preferred Two years of experience in procurement, construction management, engineering or operationsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
