Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Scheduling & Receiving Clerk to support inbound and outbound operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for coordinating shipments, tracking production flow, and ensuring accurate job step closure within the ERP system while adapting to changing operational demands. Key Responsibilities Schedule and coordinate outbound and inbound finished goods shipments Monitor and adjust schedules in real time to meet dynamic operational needs and changing priorities Receive, inspect, and verify incoming documentation for accuracy, quality Track and manage work orders through the galvanizing process (receiving processing shipping) Perform job step closure in the ERP system to ensure accurate production and inventory records Enter and maintain data in ERP systems, ensuring real-time updates and accuracy Coordinate with production, yard, and shipping teams to meet deadlines and customer requirements Prepare and verify shipping documents, bills of lading, and packing lists Monitor inventory levels and assist with cycle counts and discrepancy resolution Communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams regarding scheduling and shipment status Identify and resolve issues related to delays, damages, or incorrect shipments Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Experience in logistics, receiving, scheduling, or manufacturing (galvanizing or metal industry preferred) Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, IFS or similar), including job tracking and closure Proven ability to manage shifting priorities and respond to real-time scheduling changes Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Typical Work Environment Fast-paced industrial facility Exposure to outdoor yard conditions and production areas May require standing, walking, and lifting materials
