Job Description:

Raritan Valley Community College is currently accepting applications for an Athletics Operations Coordinator. Under the supervision of the Director of Athletics, the candidate is responsible for maintenance and preparation of the College's athletic facilities for Intercollegiate contests and rental usage. They will also be responsible for Intercollegiate game day operations and play a role in the communication of Sports Information on the RVCC athletics website and team social media accounts.

Essential Duties:

Intercollegiate Game Day Operations & Management Oversee game day staff and ensure proper scheduling of employees through coordination with Athletic Director. Responsible for general maintenance and upkeep of Gym, Soccer Field, Baseball Field, Softball Field and pool. Responsible for general maintenance and upkeep of Fitness Center. Responsible for oversight of Fitness Center employees. Responsible for oversight of part time grounds crew and game day operations employees. Coordinate with Athletic Director to submit work orders as necessary. Coordinate with Athletic Director to schedule contractors or vendors as needed. Work with contractors and vendors to provide support as needed. Assist with athletic facility rentals and clients. Serve as site supervisor/point of contact for non-intercollegiate athletic events and rentals when required. Pool Supervision & Responsibilities Work with Director of Athletics to develop Aquatic Center Usage Policies. Work with Aquatics Coordinator to ensure Pool meets NJ Health Department Standards. Responsible for general maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of the swimming pool and deck. Responsible for event set up and break down of Aquatic Center Events. Sports Information Update website and social media accounts daily as needed. Submit game scores in accordance with NJCAA and Region XIX Policies. Coordinate Media Day for all teams with photographer. Responsible for event set up and break down of Aquatic Center Events.

Job Requirements:

Associate's Degree Required. 1-3 years-relevant higher education athletic experience in facilities operations and management and/or game day oversight. Previous coaching and/or intercollegiate playing experience. Valid driver's license.

Physical Demands:

Requires sitting, standing, bending, walking, kneeling and climbing. Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 75 pounds for a distance of 50 feet. Requires handling equipment weighing up to 75 pounds while pushing, pulling, lifting, twisting, and reaching while lifting. Must be able to drive a manual transmission. Requires the use of standard groundskeeping equipment such as push lawn mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, tillers, etc. Necessary to work outside in all weather conditions.
