Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Scheduler to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing appointment schedules, coordinating patient care, and ensuring that all necessary medical records are accurately maintained. This role is crucial in providing excellent patient service and supporting the overall efficiency of our medical office. Responsibilities Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of time for both patients and healthcare providers. Manage incoming calls and inquiries related to scheduling, providing information and assistance as needed. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with health information management standards. Utilize EHR systems to input and update patient information. Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate care plans and follow-up appointments. Assist in the front desk operations, including greeting patients and managing check-in/check-out processes. Ensure all relevant documentation is prepared prior to patient visits, including insurance verification and medical history forms. Qualifications Proficiency in medical scheduling practices, with experience in a medical office setting preferred. Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and health information management principles. Strong organization skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff. Experience with dental receptionist duties is a plus, particularly in managing care plans. Knowledge of medical records management systems is essential for maintaining accurate patient files.
