Production Management Responsibility Summary:
The Production Planning & Purchasing Coordinator will support daily production scheduling, material coordination, and purchasing activities to ensure efficient manufacturing operations and on-time product delivery. This role works closely with production, warehouse, quality, and purchasing teams to maintain material availability, resolve operational issues, and support overall production performance.
Responsibilities:
The Production Planner is responsible for supporting the company's business events through a variety of tasks, including: Production Planning & Operations Support Assist in developing and maintaining detailed daily and weekly production schedules to ensure efficient workflow and on-time product delivery Track work orders and ensure required materials, labor, and resources are available prior to production start Coordinate closely with production and warehouse teams to align materials and operations with production schedules Inventory & Material Coordination Track and monitor inventory levels of raw materials, packaging components, work-in-progress, and finished goods to support production needs Conduct periodic inventory reviews, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy Ensure proper material allocation and staging for upcoming production runs Purchasing Coordination Assist in creating and processing purchase orders and follow up with vendors on delivery timelines Support communication with internal teams regarding order status and material readiness Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation Cross-functional Operations Coordination Collaborate closely with Production, QA, Warehouse, Sales, and Purchasing teams to ensure alignment between production activities and business needs Communicate updates on production schedules, material availability, and potential risks impacting operations Support coordination to ensure smooth production execution and on-time order fulfillment Data, Reporting & Documentation Ensure accuracy and completeness of all records and documentation related to production, inventory, and purchasing activities Prepare and maintain reports on production schedules, material usage, and capacity planning Ensure all records are timely, organized, and audit-ready
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience) 0-2 years of experience in production, operations, purchasing, or manufacturing environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong communication skills and willingness to learn Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with ERP or MRP systems is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with multiple departments.
Compensations & Benefits:
Pay Range:
