We are seeking a Scheduler to join our team that is committed to clinical excellence and building a patient-centered culture. Primary Responsibilities:
Serves as main resource to physician for surgery scheduling Answer phone calls, emails, confirming appointments, greeting patients and prospective patients in all interaction. Schedule patient for procedure Liaise and coordinate with healthcare professionals about schedules, patients and any changes to schedules Resolve scheduling conflicts as they occur. Responsible for Answering scheduling main line and transferring, taking messages and helping patients accordingly and resolve scheduling conflicts as they occur. Ensure all incoming orders have demographics, insurance, authorization information and all other pertinent information and communicate with referring provider office for needed or missing information. Verify insurance eligibility for both medial insurance for upcoming appointments by utilizing online websites or by contacting the carriers directly. Maintains patient demographic information and data collection systems. Review patient deductibles and/or copays and enter the billing system and spreadsheets provided to the front-end department at all locations.
Requirements:
