Job Description

Overview:
Las Vegas Gastroenterology (LVG) provides expert gastroenterology services for people aged 18 and older at its office locations in Las Vegas, Nevada. Serving the Southern Nevada community since 2009, LVG has been a promoter of colorectal cancer screening, ensuring the prevention of cancers of the colon and rectum, as well as its early detection, when treatment is much easier. We are currently looking for a driven, results-oriented full-time medical assistant/scheduler. For this position, bilingual (in Spanish) medical assistant/scheduler are being sought after due to the demographics of LVG's patients. Salary range is $16.50 to $18.00 per hour (depending on experience).
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative Duties Schedule, reschedule and follow-up appointments Record patients' personal information Maintain medical records Respond to patients' questions Clinical Duties Check in patients and discharge patients Take patients back to the exam room Take and record vital signs Ask patients about their symptoms and concerns Record medical history Transmit to pharmacy prescriptions/refills as directed Provide and explain thoroughly discharge instructions Qualities we are looking for: Strong verbal and written skills Bilingual (Spanish) Good customer service skills Proficient in time management High level of professionalism Attention to details Administrative skills Computer skills Hardworking Team player Dedicated and dependable Willing to hold several job responsibilities Have the capability and drive to work in a high demand, fast-paced environment
Minimum Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED • Knowledge of eClinicalWorks a plus MA certification is not required
Pay:
$16.50 - $18.00 per hour
