Overview Our Client, an established consulting firm based in New York City is seeking a Construction Scheduler - Consultant to play a pivotal role in orchestrating successful construction projects from inception to completion. This energetic position offers the opportunity to collaborate with diverse teams, streamline project timelines, and ensure that every phase of construction is meticulously planned and executed. As a key contributor, you will leverage your expertise in project scheduling to drive efficiency, minimize delays, and deliver exceptional results. Duties Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, and the company's proprietary construction management software to reflect project scope, milestones, and deadlines. Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to gather scheduling inputs and ensure alignment with project goals. Monitor project progress regularly, identify potential delays or conflicts early, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track. Integrate cost estimates and resource allocations into schedules utilizing tools like HeavyBid and construction estimating software for comprehensive planning. Facilitate communication across teams by providing clear schedule reports, progress updates, and visualizations using Bluebeam or similar tools. Assist in contract management by ensuring schedule adherence aligns with contractual obligations and project specifications. Support project management efforts by managing time-sensitive tasks efficiently and maintaining accurate documentation of all scheduling activities. Requirements Proven experience in construction site management with a strong understanding of construction processes and workflows. Proficiency in Primavera P6, and other construction management software platforms. Solid knowledge of project scheduling techniques, contract administration, and construction estimating practices. Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders effectively while managing time efficiently. Excellent communication skills to clearly convey schedule expectations and updates across diverse teams. Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and documentation. Construction site experience is highly preferred to understand field operations intimately.
