Open Until Filled S ummary The Principal Scheduler is responsible for developing, using , and improving existing enterprise tools, systems , and work processes to drive effective planning and control within an integrated project scheduling system. Individuals in this role will act as Program Schedulers driving and overseeing multiple project/program schedules and helping to implement industry best-practice scheduling processes within the greater integrated controls system. Individuals in this role will also develop and drive detailed high-complexity project schedules to align priorities, mitigate conflicts, predict outcomes , and measure project performance. This role requires collaboration to develop project dashboards, cost , and resource performance reports, changelogs , and risk registers in close partnership with assigned PCEO and BU Leaders. Responsibilities Collect performance data and update project schedules following the MTA C&D master schedule framework . Develop and drive high-risk /complex project schedules within the assigned program. Track potential changes, ensuring estimates of cost and schedule changes are given visibility with project management and agency owners. Integrate cost and schedule data a nd information from vendors and external entities to facilitate schedule and budget performance reporting. Develop reporting mechanisms, dashboards , and presentations about project performance indicators and feed this data to ensure a cohesive picture of the program and/or portfolio. Assist junior team members with ongoing schedule and log maintenance and conduct baseline project schedule review s following MTA C&D standards. Drives evaluation and impact assessment of identified project risks to enable the project team with applicable data for developing risk mitigation plans and contingencies. Develops and maintains automated project controls tools and workflows. Partners closely with business units to assess new and ongoing projects. Monitors actuals and works with other peers to review forecasting against budgets. Supports Executive status review meetings and Change Control Committees. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction or Project Management, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field. Must have a minimum of sixteen (16) years of related experience . Must have a minimum of ten (10) years in a management or supervisory role and/or project manager role in a large, multi-faceted organization.Competencies:
