Nursing Administration Overview:
Nursing Home is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Nursing Scheduler to join our administrative team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for coordinating staff schedules for our nursing department, ensuring appropriate coverage for all shifts to support quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for nursing staff. Review and process time-off requests, shift swaps, and sick calls. Monitor staffing levels and make real-time adjustments as needed. Communicate schedule updates and changes to team members promptly. Use scheduling software to maintain accurate and up-to-date records. Work closely with nursing leadership and HR to address staffing needs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred. Prior experience in scheduling or administrative support, preferably in a healthcare setting. Familiarity with scheduling software (e.g., OnShift). Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to multitask and handle fast-paced environments.
