Job Description

Summary:
The Grain Operations Associate supports daily grain handling operations while maintaining safe, efficient, and clean facilities. This position provides excellent customer service to cooperative patrons and assists with grain receiving, storage, and shipment activities.
Requirements:
Comfortable working in, around, and on top of grain bins, railcars, and related equipment Ability to operate forklifts and skid steers safely and proficiently (training provided) Ability to identify poor quality or treated grain and properly probe grain trucks Assist with loading trains and grain shipment operations Assist with preventative maintenance and facility upkeep Learn grain dryer operations, including safety, cleaning, and fuel monitoring Possess flexibility and adaptability to meet operational demands Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and learn new skills Work both independently and collaboratively to support Legacy's mission and goals Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test Must be at least 18 years old
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in, around, and on top of grain bins, elevators, and railcars Full range of body motion including bending, squatting, twisting, climbing, and reaching above shoulder level Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to dump and load wagons, trailers, and trucks Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Preferred Experience:
Working knowledge of grain facility operations, including grain handling from pit to load-out preferred Basic computer skills
Pay:
$18.00 - $19.00 per hour
