Material Control & Planning Specialist (Bilingual Mandarin/English) SEMCORP Manufacturing USA LLC - Sidney, OH Position Summary SEMCORP Manufacturing USA LLC is seeking a Bilingual Material Control & Planning Specialist (Mandarin/English) to support our growing manufacturing operations in Sidney, Ohio. This position is responsible for material planning, inventory control, production scheduling support, and logistics coordination to ensure uninterrupted production and efficient supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison between Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, Logistics, and international teams, helping to maintain accurate inventory levels, coordinate material flow, and support production requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively in both Mandarin and English. Essential Responsibilities Material Planning & Production Support Develop and maintain material requirements plans based on production schedules, inventory levels, and business demands. Monitor material availability to ensure uninterrupted production operations. Support production scheduling by identifying material constraints and recommending solutions. Analyze inventory trends and forecast future material needs. Coordinate with Production and Purchasing teams to ensure timely replenishment of materials. Inventory Control Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor inventory transactions within ERP/MRP systems. Perform inventory analysis, reconciliations, and cycle count reviews. Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Monitor inventory levels to balance production needs while minimizing excess inventory. Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers, carriers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders. Track shipment status and proactively address delivery delays or shortages. Assist with domestic and international logistics activities, including import/export coordination. Ensure materials are delivered according to production requirements and operational priorities. Cross-Functional Collaboration Communicate with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams in both Mandarin and English. Work closely with Purchasing, Production, Warehouse, Engineering, and Finance departments to resolve material-related issues. Prepare reports and provide updates regarding inventory status, material shortages, and supply chain performance. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning, inventory, and logistics processes. Qualifications Fluent in Mandarin and English (written and verbal) - Required Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in material planning, inventory control, production planning, logistics, or supply chain operations. Manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Experience with ERP/MRP systems. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting manufacturing production schedules. Knowledge of inventory management and material requirements planning (MRP). Experience working with international suppliers and logistics providers. Understanding of import/export processes and supply chain operations. Experience in battery, automotive, chemical, or advanced manufacturing industries is a plus.
