Position Summary The Planner/Scheduler is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring production schedules to ensure efficient operations and on-time delivery. This role works cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, and production teams to optimize resources and maintain workflow alignment. Key Responsibilities Create and maintain daily, weekly, and long-term production schedules Open, release, and schedule jobs within the ERP system Interpret MRP data to support production planning and material requirements Allocate personnel, materials, tools, and equipment efficiently Issue materials to shop orders to ensure accurate consumption tracking Monitor production progress against schedules and adjust as needed for delays or changes Track labor hours on shop orders to ensure alignment with build completion percentages Generate reports on production performance and scheduling effectiveness Collaborate with engineering, procurement, management, and production teams to support operational goals Provide support on the shop floor as needed to ensure schedules are executed effectively Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures Customer order entry into Epicor Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience 3-10 years of experience in manufacturing or construction planning/scheduling Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Epicor experience a plus) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Ability to interpret data and make informed scheduling decisions Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities Join us at American Power Innovations to play a key role in streamlining our production processes!
